I have been meaning to update my blog since the end of the school holidays, but I just didn't manage to get around to it.
This blog is probably going to be looooong and boring, but I thought I would write it anyways just as a reminder to me.
I suppose I'll start with the week away at Mahinepua bay.
We left on Friday 10th July to Mahinepua bay, our car is jam packed with food, utensils, clothes etc...
Jolanda (Richard's Mum) and my Mum spent HOURS planning everything that we need to take for this 7 day trip (and even a list of every meal that we will have).
I don't know how we managed to all fit into the car, bags on stuff pilled on Mum, Luca and me.
We ended up meeting with Richard and his parents in town and unloading me with them. I was glad, I had next to no room in the car.
My parents went of to meet someone, and I went back with the Altorfers to help them pack all their gear into the car. That wasn't such a big problem, they strapped a few things onto the roof of their Holden and managed to get everything else into the boot of the car. Only a few things were pilled on our legs this time a.k.a Gypsy...she keeped walking on Richard and my legs...we ended up giving her to Mike for holding the manderins :)
It seemed like a long trip on the way down there, we were all happy when we finally got to the batch.
But dreading uppacking everything, although in the end it didn't take as long as we'd expected.
Isabel and Monika came over with a friend to see where we were. We played a game of hide and seek on the beach. It was fun! Izzy and I hid in some WET long grass on the beach. Richard was seeking, and it was ages before he spotted us. They had to walk right down the end of the beach before they actually found us :)
That night, we had pizza for dinner. Richard and I made it. A seafood pizza which I made, and a MEAT LOVERS which Richard made.
They both were sooooooooooooooooooooooo yum! :)
On the saturday it was bad weather, a storm was forcasted, and we got exactly that.
Strong gusty winds, and rain. We had a power cut at around 4pm
Just as we were preparing to have Raclette :(
We were all very disappointed, as we were all hungry and super looking forward having it.
As much as we hoped, the power didn't come on again till after 2 am. The funny thing was that the phone was still working even though there was no power. We got a call from the owner of the batch telling us that there was a lamp on top of the fridge and how to use it etc...
The ring of the phone is quite creepy, it sounded so old.....
The parents decided to go early to bed, but us 'kids' had quite a bit of fun in the end.
At first Luca and Michael were just playing around with cards...and Richard and I were just lying on the bay window - which we dominated for the whole week!!! :)
We then started playing statues with my iPod music. It was a good thing that I brought the speakers in the end :)
We did a whole lot of other funny games, telling funny stories, playing guitar etc....
I think it was after midnight before I decided to go to bed.
The next day the weather was better but still rain clouds covered the sky.
There was so much seaweed on the beach, you could see how high the water went. Way up passed the the grass. Even a bit onto the tiny road.
We spent most of the day inside again, it was too cold to be outside in the wind.
We played a lot of card games....mainly poker :) it was fun!
Richard and I DOMINATED the bay window. We were always sitting or lying there, sometimes the other guys decided to sit with us too :)
That night we again had a power cut, but this time we were smart enough to eat dinner ***RACLETTE***
before it happened. We had a feeling that it might :P
Luca and Michael decided it would be fun to play with my make-up, which in the end was HILARIOUS!!!
Luca with a mono brow, dark emo eyes, and s mustache. Michael with mono brow, black eye and "beauty" spot. Richard with just eye-liner on and a failed attempt of Richard putting eye-liner on me :P :)
HAHAHA I have to include what Michael said about this, "You girls get to do this everyday, and it's SO much fun!" :)
We all couldn't control our laughter. It was SO funny!!!
On Monday Olivia came over.
It was such a beautiful day, she brought us the sun!!! :)
We walked on the beach.
Played some poker, truth or dare games
We made some GORGEOUS photos of us all on the beach, and up on the hill.
Plus a funny video of Micheal revealing that he is gay! (just joking - it was a dare)
And another video of Luca and Richard on the hill that they are also gay, but their video wasn't as funny as Mike's :)
We had a GREAT day together!
Tuesday to Thursday we did most of the same things.
We went for walks on the beach
Played with Gypsy.
Played games.
Just talked.
Dominating bay window :)
Etc...
One night, we watched this odd show called "Taboo"
It was a series, and in this episode they were talking about things people do to explress their love for on another person or thing.
On cuts his gf somewhere and sucks her blood *shivers*
Some get their teeth shaped into fangs like vampires.
Some get their partner's hand tatooed and engraved onto their chest.
And there were many other creepy things....
On Thurday morning George and Dad went off to the farm because they got a call that one of their calfs is sick.
Dad returned and George stayed home looking after it. It made a full recovery in the end which was great!
On Friday we all had one last looooooooong walk on the beach before we packed our bags and headed off home.
It was such a great trip, I think we all wished that we could have stayed longer.
Finally I've finished talking about the holiday, but I still need and want to write about the KKHS ball and SB ball.
